Support Worker

Prospero Health and Social Care are recruiting for experienced Autism Support Workers to support a day centre in Dunsfold in Surrey that supports learners over the age of 18 to achieve their individualised goals, with the aim to build independence and help learners to have a fulfilling life. This is a full-time, permanent role across Monday to Friday between 09:00 – 17:00.

Key Details:

• Location: Dunsfold in Surrey
• Transportation: Drivers required due to the nearest bus stop being 3 miles away with no pavement and street lights.
• Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:00, with a 30-minute lunch break, Monday to Friday
• Experience: 1 year or more in a similar role.
• Age Range: 18 – 60

Responsibilities:

• Provide learning support to adults with autism in a day centre environment.
• Assist individuals in achieving personal goals, such as tying laces, making beds, and preparing meals.
• Utilise methods like SKIP and PBS for effective behaviour management.
• Support community integration through outings and activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience (1 year or more) in a support worker role working with adults with autism.
