Support Worker

Prospero Health & Social Care are looking for Support Workers to engage in temporary contracts to deliver the very best standards and quality of care to adults and young people from a broad range of backgrounds to ensure they get the most out of life as possible.

This role will involve caring for these often-vulnerable individuals, assisting them with day-to-day tasks, and supporting them as and when required, providing a safe and nurturing environment for people between the ages of 16 and 65.

You will implement care plans in collaboration with the team you are working with, support young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care.

Placements Available

• Supporting young people in a range of settings including registered services, out in the community, and in their own homes.
• Supporting individuals that need to be moved to other accommodation on a temporary basis.
• Respite care for an individual that needs support while a family needs to step away temporarily.
• Community Outreach work for adults with learning difficulties and autism.
• Supporting adults with learning difficulties in semi-independent accommodation.
• Supporting a broad range of individuals with a focus on mental health in registered settings.

Position details

• Location – Hampshire with requirements in Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester and the surrounding towns and villages

• Full time / Part time – Full Time with varied shift patterns to suit work / life balance.
• Hours – Long Days, Waking Nights, and Sleep in shifts available.
