Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home
Luton | Full-time or Part-time | £14 – £17 per hour (£29,000 – £35,000 per annum equivalent) + training + flexible shifts

An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Support Workers to join a registered children’s home in Luton, currently being relaunched under new leadership. The home is not yet supporting any placements and is undergoing a full reset with a clear focus on safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and high-quality care.

This is a chance to be part of something purposeful from day one, helping shape a stable, therapeutic environment for children and young people who have experienced significant adversity.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide consistent, nurturing care and emotional support
• Follow care plans, behaviour support strategies, and safeguarding procedures
• Take part in daily routines, key work, meaningful activities, and accurate recording
• Promote a reflective, child-centred team culture
• Support preparations for inspection and future placements

What they’re looking for:

• At least 1 year’s experience working in a residential children’s home (essential)
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential)
• A calm, empathetic and reliable approach to supporting children with complex needs
• Ability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins

What’s on offer:

• £14 – £17 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
• Equivalent to £29,000 – £35,000 per annum
