Position: Male Support Worker – Jewish Day Centre
Reporting to: Support Manager/Team Leader
Location: Supported Living/Day Centre
Shift types: Only bank shifts available with chance to be put on regular weekly rotas

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred support, maintaining emotional, physical, spiritual, cultural, and psychological well-being.
- Enable individuals to utilise community facilities and services.
- Uphold and promote the rights, dignity, respect, and choice of those we support.
- Engage with individuals, understanding their preferences, and helping them make informed choices.
- Support religious beliefs and create opportunities for socialising within the Jewish community.
- Ensure the welfare, safety, and protection of individuals by managing risks and adhering to Safeguarding Principles.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the Support Manager/Team Leader and team members.
- Attend team meetings, contribute to assessments/reviews, and engage in staff training.
- Deliver services with respect and commitment to equal opportunities.
- Comply with fire, health, and safety requirements, identifying areas of risk.
- Uphold Jewish religious policy and value the rights of people with learning disabilities.
Requirements:
- Must have experience supporting learning disabilities.
- Must be flexible with availability
- Must have overseas police check if you have not worked in the UK for longer than 5 year
- Have an enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the update service or willing to process a new one through Prospero Health and Social
- Capable of providing references covering the last 5 years.
