This role will involve caring for these often-vulnerable individuals, assisting them with day-to-day tasks, and supporting them as and when required, providing a safe and nurturing environment for individuals.

You will support young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care.

Placements Available:

  • Supporting young people in unregulated and regulated placements such as Hospitals, Emergency Accommodation, Hotel / Private accommodation.
  • Mother & Baby Placements
  • A past placement may have broken down and an individual needs to be moved to other accommodation on a temporary basis.
  • Respite care for an individual that needs support while a family needs to step away temporarily.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in the UK care sector
  • Experience as a Support Worker
  • Experience supporting children and young people in a professional environment (desired)
  • Driver with access to a vehicle
  • QCF Level 3 CYP

Position details:

  • Various locations available including Cardiff, Powys, RCT, Bridgend, and others
  • Position – Support Worker (Children & Young Adults)
  • Start date – ASAP (Contracts have hours available immediately)
  • Duration – Ongoing
  • Full time / Part time – Full Time with varied shift patterns to suit work / life balance.
  • Hours – Long Days, Waking Nights, and Sleep in shifts available.
