Support Worker – Mental Health (Durham Floating Support)
Location: Bishop Auckland and East Durham
Salary: hourly rate of up to £12.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (flexible, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays)
This company is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to support clients with mental health needs in the Durham Floating Support service. As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support, enabling clients to live fulfilling lives, participate in the community, and develop their abilities. This includes building trusting relationships, promoting emotional well-being, supporting daily living skills, and encouraging independence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop warm and trusting relationships with clients.
- Promote clients’ self-esteem, happiness, and emotional health.
- Support clients in maintaining safety and comfort in their homes and communities.
- Assist clients with social skills, personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement.
- Monitor clients’ physical and emotional well-being, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
- Support clients with budgeting, finances, and adhering to tenancy agreements.
- Provide respectful emergency personal care as needed.
