Support Worker

Location: Bradford
Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (22.5 hours per week), flexible schedule including weekends and bank holidays

A respected not-for-profit organisation is seeking a dedicated Floating Support Worker to join its Bradford Mental Health Floating Support Service. This role involves providing person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs, supporting them in their recovery journey and helping them maintain independence within their own homes. You will work directly with service users, offering both practical assistance and emotional support to enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trusting relationships to support service users in achieving their personal goals.
  • Assist service users in daily activities, including budgeting, meal preparation, and community engagement.
  • Provide practical support to help service users maintain their tenancy and manage household tasks.
  • Promote mental and emotional well-being, supporting recovery plans and developing coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to deliver a coordinated support service.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in mental health support or a related field is desirable.
  • Warm, empathetic approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage and document support plans effectively.
  • Must be a driver with access to own vehicle.
