SUPPORT WORKER – ADULTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an individual who is committed, dedicated, and passionate to make a meaningful impact while contributing to the well-being of others in a professional and supportive environment.

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to become valued members of our dedicated and stable team;

  • You will support young adults with a variety of support needs including Autism, intellectual disability, epilepsy and non-verbal childhood ADHD.
  • Varied working patterns & flexible hours are available including evening shifts and weekends.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in Health & Social Care and working with individuals with Autism is essential.
  • A car driver who is willing to use their own car for work and travel when necessary (individual has his own mobility vehicle as well).

Our aim is to support adults to develop new skills and live independently, both at home and in the community. The work can be challenging but the rewards make every day meaningful.

We also provide supported living services for autistic adults who need extra help to live in their own homes or within our accommodation, whether as tenants or owner occupiers, living alone, or with others.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking inspirational Support Workers to join our team and help shape the future of our Supported living service in Bath. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in revitalizing person-centred activities and ensuring every individual we support achieves their fullest potential. This service provides care and support to adults with autism living in supported living settings. Ideally, you will have a background in supporting autistic people but if not, we have a fantastic training programme that will get you on your way to achieving a fulfilling job that will beat most out there. You may have a personal connection, a desire to work with or real-life experiences working with autistic people.

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, and will include evening and weekend working.

The hourly rate for this position is £13.50 – £15 per hour.

The role includes:

  • Helping individuals achieve independence and personal goals
  • Supporting and transporting individuals to integrate into their community
  • Develop individuals home making skills and personal chores
  • Transforming lives and achieving results for autistic adults

To protect our service users, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
