Extra Care Support Worker

Location: Carlisle, Extra Care Services (Heysham Gardens and Burnside Court)
Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time hours, worked flexibly on a rota that includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

This company is seeking compassionate and dedicated Extra Care Support Workers to join their team in Carlisle. In this role, you will be providing person-centred care to older individuals, supporting them to live as independently as possible within their own homes in an Extra Care Housing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building warm and trusting relationships with service users.
  • Providing personal care in a dignified and respectful manner, aligned with the individual care plans.
  • Assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping, and managing finances.
  • Encouraging participation in community activities and supporting users to enjoy an active lifestyle.
  • Liaising with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
