We are looking for Residential Support Workers to support homes in the Salisbury area. These homes range from solo homes for a young person with harmful sexualised behaviour to 4-bedded homes for young people with issues relating to trauma.

The role of the support worker is to be there for young people who need support to live an enjoyable and fulfilling like. This career opportunity is for a company that cares for young people that have SEMH needs including complex trauma. As a result, these children require a highly regulated environment with trained staff working with these children to create a nurturing and safe environment. We are looking for candidates who are either qualified in children’s residential care or experienced in working in children’s homes. We would also consider candidates who are passionate about improving the lives of young people who do not have experience in the sector.

Duties include:

  • Completing household tasks
  • Ensuring electronic records are up to date and accurate
  • Helping children with schoolwork
  • Taking the children to activities
  • Providing structure to the lives of the children that you support
  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment for the young people to develop
  • Building up children’s confidence and independence

You will complete between 2 and 3 shifts per week, with long days lasting for 24 hours, including working at some point every 2 out of 3 weeks. If you are looking to work across only a few days per week and regular long breaks, this could be the role for you.

Package:

This position commands a competitive salary of between £27,360 and £31,000 depending on experience and seniority. The company will also support you through gaining additional qualifications including the Level 4 in Residential Childcare.
