Job Title: Supported Housing Officer
Location: Stockport
Salary: Up to £26,198 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 18:00
Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable adults and ensuring they have the best chance to maintain their tenancies? This company is seeking a dedicated Supported Housing Officer to join their dynamic Housing Management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of tenants in properties owned or managed by the company.
- Provide expert advice and support to scheme staff, promoting positive tenancy sustainment.
- Facilitate Housing Benefit applications and ensure timely payment to avoid arrears.
- Conduct formal tenancy reviews, including signing up new tenants and following up with court proceedings if necessary.
- Undertake regional travel to meet tenants, Social Workers, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department and Senior Management to ensure the highest standards of tenancy management.
- Contribute to corporate KPI development and quarterly monitoring for partner housing associations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in social housing, welfare rights, or similar fields.
- Strong administrative and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and understanding of data protection.
