Position – Team Leader, Children and Young People

Employment type – Permanent

Location – Ebbw Vale, Wales

Salary – £31,750 p.a.

Hours – 40 per week, working 24 hours shifts. Typical shift pattern is 8am to 8am on a 3-week rolling rota; week one: Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Week two: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday. Week 3: Wednesday only.

Why work here – This is a children’s residential EMBD care provider who offer therapeutic support to children who have suffered trauma. They work alongside multi agencies to access the very best help for their children and ensure their staff are highly trained and constantly developed.

About the role – As a Team Leader, you and your team, will deliver emotional and therapeutic support to the children in your care. Duties include ensuring the quality of support is in line with company procedures and industry regulations by overseeing and mentoring RCWs, carrying out supervisions, compiling paperwork with great attention to detail and use the company’s IT system to maintain records and report write. You will be heavily involved in staff training, as well as delivering hands on support to residents. Home size is 6 and 4 bed and the two homes situated very close together in this area.

Qualifications and Experience required – We are looking for stable and physically fit individuals with a similar back ground, who are passionate about leading a team of RCWs and delivering high quality care. You will need a QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People and have carried out supervisory/senior duties previously.
