Prospero Health and Social Care have a range of young people support worker roles available within and around the Greater Manchester areas.
These roles will be suitable for people who have experience working with vulnerable young people, with a range of different needs/challenges. This can include emotional behavioural difficulties, mental health issues, autism, ADHD, self-injury, challenging and aggressive behaviour, victims of the range of abuses.
Your duties as a Support Worker will include:
- Ensuring the young people’s safety and well-being is always protected.
- Uphold essential safeguarding.
- Promoting education, independent living and maintain a healthy home environment.
- Professionally liaise with professionals.
- Maintaining effective communication and liaison with service users, families and professionals.
- Support service users with preparation of meals, personal hygiene, cleaning and laundry – maintaining a healthy home environment.
- Providing daily observations and paperwork that are well detailed.
Criteria for these roles are:
- Previous experience in a similar role working with young people (9-12 months UK experience).
- Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to obtain a new one.
- Willingness to attend essential training.
- References covering the last 3 years of employment.
- Driver – preferred but not essential.
