Job description

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Agency Support Workers to join our excellent team of care professionals in providing care for young people under 18. Our agency supports over 8 services, ranging from crisis support to education and bedside support for young people with special educational and mental health needs, and challenging behaviour.

As a Children Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring that these young people receive the support and care they need to overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential. Young people support workers are responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment that promotes growth, development, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support to young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
  • Support young people in crisis situations
  • Help young people who are leaving care or have been in trouble with the law
  • Provide education and support for young people with disabilities
  • Support young people in their education and provide mother and baby supervision
  • Provide bedside support for young people in hospitals or families with child protection involvement

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including day shifts, 24-hour shifts, and a couple of hours
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of young people
  • To be considered for this role, you must be a driver
  • Right to work in the UK

You will be well-compensated for your efforts, with an hourly rate starting from £15.00 and increasing based on the complexity of the individual you are supporting, the level of experience you have, and the time of your shifts in the week.
