Pay: From £13.00 – £16.00 per hour

Prospero Health & Social Care are looking for Support Workers to engage in temporary contracts to deliver the very best standards and quality of care to Children and Young People with additional needs in the Bournemouth area.

This role will involve caring for these often-vulnerable individuals, assisting them with day-to-day tasks, and supporting them as and when required, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.

You will implement care plans in collaboration with the team you are working with, support young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care.

Placements Available

• Supporting young people (16-25) in semi-independent accommodation, supporting them to build independence skills, access education and employment and to help manage any challenges.
• Supporting young people with mental health conditions in the community.
• Supporting children and young people in children’s residential homes.
• Respite care for an individual that needs support while a family needs to step away temporarily.
• Support for asylum seekers in refugee services

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in the UK care sector in a support capacity either with adults with challenging behaviour or children and young people
• Experience as a Support Worker
• Experience supporting children and young people in a professional environment (desired)
• Driver with access to a vehicle
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Right to work in the UK
